14th Annual Strides for Strokes

Event Details

West Vancouver

The North Shore Stroke Recovery Centre’s annual Strides for Strokes event
is planned for Saturday, June 8, 2019.

The North Shore Stroke Recovery Centre (NSSRC) works to improve the
independence and quality of life for survivors of stroke on the North
Shore. Going home from hospital after a stroke is an important milestone in
recovery. Once at home, recovery is about regaining independence, a sense
of well-being and social connectedness. This is where programs at the NSSRC
are key.

Strides for Strokes is a fun outdoor community event, it brings members of
the North Shore community together with NSSRC members, their family and
friends for a 4km walk/glide/stride/wheel along the West Vancouver’s
spectacular seawall. It is an all ages event with lots of activities; there
will be lunch, music, prizes, art show, and a silent auction after the
seawall walk.

We look forward to seeing you on June 8th, 2019
