An evening of art in West Vancouver! Come support Coastal City Ballet’s young dancers performing classical ballet and contemporary works at West Vancouver’s cultural jewel, The Kay Meek Centre.
The program includes excerpts from the Spanish brilliance of Petipa’s Paquita, Rachmaninov’s Three Preludes choreographed by former Houston Ballet Artistic Director Ben Stevenson, as well as new works from Charlene Hart, Farley Johansson, and Coastal City Ballet Artistic Director Li Yaming.

Rogers Santa Claus Parade

The first Sunday in December is the official date of the Rogers Santa Claus Parade. Santa’s early visit to Vancouver on Sunday, December 4th, 2011 at 1:00pm is the perfect kick off to the holiday season!
The parade will start at West Georgia Street and Broughton (at 1:00 pm), travel east along West Georgia, turn north on Burrard and finish at Burrard and Cordova.
The Rogers Santa Claus Parade features marching bands, dance troupes, festive floats and community groups, which entertain over 300,000 spectators. This televised Parade is the Lower Mainland’s biggest winter event.
Please bring a non-perishable food items and monetary donations for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society on parade day.
