Facts you should know

The Society works closely with tourism, municipalities and businesses to benefit all participants and the community.

Carol Ships Parade of Lights Society is dedicated to the promotion of tourism in the Greater Vancouver area in conjunction with the development of interrelated marine activities.

Carol Ships Society plans to develop a full festival for both onshore and offshore activities. Parade of Lights is available as a venue for non-profit shore side events to raise significant funds for worthwhile causes. The Society and its many volunteers maintain an exceptional public and business image as goodwill ambassadors who benefit communities, local businesses and charities. The Parade of Lights raises close to $10,000 during the 23 day festival to support such charities as the CKNW Orphan’s fund, the Vancouver Province Empty Stocking fund, and Global-TV.

Carol Ships Parade of Lights provides a spectacular sail past each evening visiting the different marine communities of False Creek, Burrard Inlet, West Vancouver, Lighthouse Park, Fisherman’s Cove, Eagel Harbour, Coal Harbour, Port Moody, Deep Cove, Woodlands, Brighton Beach, Bedwell Bay, Bellcara Park, Indian Arm and Bowen Island.

With your support the Parade of Lights will be the premier December holiday celebration and will realize its full potential as a community based celebration and charity fundraiser!
