“I’ve always been captivated by the every-changing quality of my environment. I interpret the essence of sunlight merging into shadow. The use of 24K gold with multi-layered glazes of water and oil media communicates the rich fluidity of the scene.”

Lynne Green’s distinct mixed media painting evolve naturally from her many years of work as a professional goldsmith and jewellery designer.

Her paintings are accented with 24K gold and, at times, with a variety of handcrafted pigments mixed with ground malachite, lapis lazuli and other semi-precious gems.

She also makes use of many recycled items such as sterling silver, copper, brass, steel, rusted metal, wood, linen and silk, cotton fibres.

Having spent many years in North and West Vancouver, Green has long been fascinated by the natural forms of her landscape surroundings.

Her work reflects this passion for natural forms. Currently, her paintings, sculpture, and commissioned work, take advantage of her knowledge of the subtleties of colour to evoke nature’s harmonious contours.

Her work has been collected by people from all over the world, including Australia, Europe, Hong Kong, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
