Lettice and Lovage
Lettice and Lovage by Peter Shaffer, directed by Mike Jarvis. Lettice Douffet is an historical guide with theatrical tendencies who allows her imagination to run away with her. She encounters a member of the local historical society who is determined to put her right. The two women eventually develop a relationship of mutual respect, which leads them both to an anarchic end.

Young Masters' Project
Is it the fresh coastal air? The climate? Whatever the reason, our city and region produce an astounding array of extraordinarily talented young musicians. When we introduced Jon Kimura Parker to you in the early 1980s, we said that he was “just the tip of the iceberg.” Happily, global warming hasn’t affected this iceberg — in fact, it’s grown. Come hear the next generation as we delightedly continue our Young Masters’ Project with a concert featuring our very own homegrown musical treasures. Introducing some of the cream of the crop is a Burnaby musician making waves internationally, Project Host pianist Ian Parker.
After some light entertainment, Adjudicator Dean Paul Gibson will announce his choice of awards in various categories, as well as the winning production to go forward to the provincial MAINSTAGE festival in Nanaimo during the week of July 4-12, 2008. The People's Choice Awards for Outstanding Production, Outstanding Performance and Outstanding Acheivement in Design as well as special Zone Awards will also by presented.
