I love things which revitalize a forgotten way of life, such as the old West Van Blue Bus ferries, which had an enviable record for regularity and safety.
I hope it goes ahead.
I love this idea but have some concerns.
Who covers the insurance for passenger safety, on the dock and on the ferry ? Is this something that West Vancouver District and ultimately the taxpayer can afford in the event of a disaster? Are the existing facilities at the dock satisfactory for loading and unloading passengers? If successful can we expect an increase in service? I would suggest consideration of a route to Granville Island/False Creek/ Yaletown.
Who knows where we can expand the service to, perhaps UBC?
Times and circumstances change.Lets get it going.
