Marine Drive Restaurant Opening - Jun 13, 2002

Restauranteur extraordinaire Ken Brooks, of Dundarave Beach House fame, is back in West Vancouver and he and his new restaurant are looking good. Appropriately named after the street itself, the new "Marine Drive" restaurant (formerly The Sandpiper and Chesa) will be a welcome change for West Vancouverites who want to relax and socialize with friends without having to eat a big meal and pay a big price. Lots of tapas style items (including crab cakes, peel-and-eat shrimp, baby ribs and more) are priced under $10. Sit in the main dining room, at the bar, or at the back on either the indoor or outdoor patio. Our recommendation: the Village Tuna (seared ahi tuna, black sesame crust, topped with topeka and served in a sauce to die for - $11). Call (604) 922-2600 for reservations.
