Kay Meek Centre

Our talented dance students show off their best skills in this annual dance showcase, the culmination of a very productive year in dance. Passion for dance is always at the centre, where contrasts like light and dark, fast and slow, classical and current co-exist on stage.

Voted “Favourite Dance Studio” for the 2013 Readers Choice Awards, by Collingwood, Meaford, Thornbury, Stayner, Wasaga Beach and The Blue Mountains’ readers, Collingwood School of Dance is dedicated to providing high standards in quality dance education, professionally certified and qualified, adult dance educators and organized, friendly management to our Recreational and Performance Company classes. We are committed to providing superior dance classes and believe in steady, concentrated progression from one level to the next. We will make every effort to find the class that is best suited for your goals. From recreational classes to our award winning Performance Company, we have a program that is perfect for you. We offer a wide variety of co-educational classes for ages three to nineteen in Acro, Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Cecchetti Ballet Exams, Triple Threat (Broadway Dance), Zumba Kids/Jr and Pointe for beginner through advanced levels. We also offer Zumba, Qigong and Tap classes for beginner and experienced adults.

Collingwood School of Dance specializes in early childhood dance education with Prima Dance classes for ages three to six! Our four-year curriculum follows a specific progression of age-appropriate material, allowing our youngest dancers to develop particular skills, and a clear understanding of dance technique as they grow towards our recreational or Performance Company program at age seven.

New to our studio are Prima Parent n Tot classes for toddlers, 18 months to two years old. All of our Prima classes are incredibly popular, because they are thoughtfully designed to engage students imagination and ensure that the emphasis in the learning process is on enjoyment. Students develop free expression, acting skills and creative movement technique, without even knowing it because they are having so much fun!
